Our Pastors

Pastor James Njuguna Mutero

Pastor James Mutero is a native of Kenya. He is the senior pastor and founder of Time of Refreshing International Ministries. He is a devoted husband to his lovely wife Margaret and father to their two beautiful daughters, Joy and Peace. Pastor James gave his life to Jesus Christ as a teenager. He served in the church services including praise and worship, intercessory and youth ministry before his ordination to full time ministry in sept 2001. He pastored a church which grew from just three people to 100 people in a one-year period. Despite all the challenges Pastor James encountered, pastoring a church as a young man and upholding his faith with his family who were mostly unbelievers, he experienced God move in a mysterious way both in his ministry and his personal life. While going through his challenges in Kenya, God revealed to Pastor James and his wife that they were going to minister to people of different colors and background. At the time, this seemed impossible considering their financial situation, nevertheless, Pastor James and his wife held on to God’s promise and God showed up at the appointed time and provided the opportunity for Pastor James and his family to move to the United States in 2006. Today, the vision that God gave Pastor James over a decade ago has come to reality. His congregation both at the church and his weekly fellowship has been a mixture of people from different backgrounds, color and exposure. He has been able to transform a God given vision from the imagination of thought into the material of reality and now he is trusting and working with God to take this ministry to the next level with an outburst of God’s power and glory transforming lives, impacting our communities with the love of Christ, and creating leaders for the next generation. Pastor Margaret Njuguna

Margaret Njuguna, wife and mother of two lovely daughters, has a special calling as a vessel of the Lord in areas of worship, prayer, healing and counseling. Margaret met her husband while they both serve in the youth ministry at the Christian Foundation Fellowship in Nairobi, Kenya, and they got married in December, 2000. Margaret had to face the challenges of ministry when her husband was ordained fulltime pastor eight months into their marriage. However, as a woman that had walked with God from an early age and understood the grace of God in all situations, she quickly adjusted herself, embraced and supported her husband fully in the ministry.  Looking back on how far God has brought her and her family, Margaret will say “as a pastor’s wife,  mother of two beautiful girls  and a certified  emergency  room nurse, it has been  challenging  and really not easy  balancing family life , career and the ministry but God has been faithful. In His service, I have learnt a lot of patience and my faith has been lifted up.” Margaret is indeed an inspiration to all women. She combines her various roles as a pastor’s wife and mother with her challenging career as a nurse, yet she will always make time out to share her faith, reach out to be a friend, and show kindness, tolerance and gentleness to others. More significantly, Margaret is dedicated to supporting families and developing women spiritually, teaching them how to successfully balance family, ministry and career while maintaining close relationship with God.
